Q. Is that the only Club which meets in
my area
A. We try to provide details of other clubs if possible
Q. What happens at meetings.
A. Members are weighed, they then pay their weekly fees, and then have a cuppa
and a chat until it is time to attend group therapy which is our support section
of the meeting. At the end of group therapy we move to the awards section
of the meeting where awards are given to encourage our members. Prior to closing
the business of the club is covered by the committee members who give brief
reports.
Q. How much does it cost per year/week.
A. Approximately $35 Per Year , Approximately $4 Per Week
Q. Do we give out set diets.
A. No we encourage our members to follow a healthy eating plan e.g. healthy
eating pyramid
Q. Do we have recipe books.
A. No however a lot of clubs and members exchange their own recipes
Q. Do you need a Doctors Letter.
A. Yes all members must produce a letter from their doctor stating a healthy
goal weight, they are allowed 14 days to provide the club with this letter.
Q. Do you have to stay for meetings.
A. Yes all members are expected to attend the entire meeting including group
therapy
Q. What happens if I am unable to attend a meeting
A. You must submit apologies when not attending and the weekly fee is for
attendance and non attendance
Q. Do you have to weigh in each week.
A. Yes all members must weigh in if they are attending club
Q. Can you stay a member after you have reached your Doctors
(goal) weight.
A. Yes on reaching their goal weight our members become graduates and can
stay a member forever, in fact we encourage them to remain members.
Q. How long does the meeting go for.
A. Approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours
Q. Do we supply food.
A. No
Q. I have children, may I bring them with me
A. Yes your children are welcome however you must be responsible for them.
